Some jobs are more than just cosmetic—they require getting down to the bones and rebuilding from the ground up. That was exactly the case in one of our latest projects: a full bathroom demo and rebuild that took a tired, failing space and turned it into something clean, modern, and built to last.
The Problem
This bathroom had seen better days. With 30-year-old tile covering the shower, floors, and tub surround, it was long overdue for an update. But as we began demolition, we discovered a much bigger issue beneath the surface: completely rotted walls. The damage was so extensive that the drywall and mortar crumbled into dust as we removed the tile.
The Arch Carpentry Solution
We weren’t fazed. At Arch Carpentry, we’re used to digging in and doing things the right way.
Full demolition of the original bathroom
Clean removal of damaged materials and debris
Reframed all affected walls and the tub surround with proper structure and support
Carefully planned slope and water drainage to protect the space for years to come
Once the foundation was rebuilt, we moved on to the finish work:
Installed elegant marble tiles throughout the shower, tub surround, and bathroom floor
Grouted and sealed every surface with precision for a seamless, watertight finish
The Results
By the end of the 3-week project, the bathroom was completely transformed. What was once a crumbling, outdated space is now a bright, modern, and watertight retreat—ready to serve its homeowners for decades to come.
Built to Last
At Arch Carpentry, we believe in tackling the hidden issues, not just covering them up. That’s how we make sure your remodel isn’t just beautiful, but built on solid ground.
