There’s something especially rewarding about seeing a large-scale project come together—especially when it’s set against the peaceful backdrop of a lake. Arch Carpentry has completed a significant drywall installation that truly tested our precision, planning, and endurance, and we’re proud to share a glimpse behind the scenes.
The Scope of the Job
This wasn’t your average drywall gig. The project called for the installation of 150 full sheets of drywall, covering both walls and ceilings throughout a large new shop. From the initial hanging phase to the final sanding pass, we were committed to a clean, efficient, and detail-oriented approach every step of the way.
What We Did
Hanging: With over 150 sheets to install, our team carefully mapped out every cut and placement. We focused on tight seams, optimal panel layout, and minimizing waste.
Taping & Mudding: We applied joint tape and compound in multiple passes, ensuring smooth transitions and flawless joints throughout.
Sanding: After letting the mud fully cure, we sanded everything to a silky smooth finish. The result? Perfectly square walls that are paint-ready and built to last.
Ceiling Work: Not only did we finish every ceiling with care and precision—we took it a step further with a beautiful knockdown texture. This added a subtle, modern character to the space while helping to diffuse light. The finish is smooth, consistent, and blends seamlessly throughout the home.
The Results
We’re incredibly proud of how this job turned out. Not only did the walls come out laser-straight and perfectly square, but the ceilings add just the right amount of texture to elevate the overall feel of the home.
Why It Matters
High-quality drywall work might go unnoticed once the paint is up and the décor is in place—but it’s the foundation of a clean, professional look. Poor seams, uneven surfaces, or rough corners can ruin the feel of a space. When done right the first time (with Arch Carpentry), drywall work adds durability and beauty that stands the test of time.
Final Thoughts
This lakeside property now has a solid foundation for the next stage of its transformation. Whether you’re renovating, building new, or adding onto an existing home, we bring the same level of care and expertise to every job.
